Description
Adenosine Monophosphate (AMP), also known as 5’-adenylic acid, consists of adenine, ribose and phosphate. AMP plays an important role in many cellular metabolic processes, such as Ca2+ signaling, cell migration, and cytokine secretion. AMP is an activator of AMP-activated protein kinase, which regulates glucose uptake, fatty acid uptake and fatty acid oxidation. Determination of AMP levels is very useful.
Tribioscience’s AMP Colorimetric Assay kit is designed to be a robust, simple and high throughput method in which AMP is determined through free phosphate (Pi) production which combines reagent-A and reagent-B to form color complex and read at OD = 620 nm.
