Western Blot Service

Western Blot Service

Western Blotting or Immunoblotting is a widely used technique for protein analysis. Tribioscience offers complete Western blot services from protein extraction, and protein concentration assay, to immunoblot, and data analysis.

Our Western Blotting detection system is combined with Li-Cor Odyssey infrared (IR) Imaging System including infrared fluorescent detection, and Empiria Studio Software for image acquisition and analysis.

This platform can offer enhanced data quality and sensitivity, and reproducibility. In addition, this system adopts a simultaneous ratio metric approach with its 700 and 800 nm IR fluorescent detection channels that facilitate a two-color target analysis and normalization (Fig 1).

Quantitative Western Blot

  • Accurate and reproducible quantification of proteins.
  • Detection of two targets simultaneously on the same membrane.
  • Antibodies are directly labeled with near-infrared (IR) dyes.
  • More Sensitive than Chemiluminescent detection.
  • Detect low-picogram targets with very low background.
  • Not need Enzyme/ substrate.
  • No film, darkroom, or additional equipment.
  • No stripping and re-probing are required.
  • Short procedures than regular Western Blot.
