Tribioscience is seeking a creative, energetic, resourceful molecular biologist with enzymology training to join a multidisciplinary research team to develop new technologies for nucleic acid sequence analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop leading-edge technologies for DNA-based analysis platforms and related technologies for advanced applications in genomics & medicine.
  • Assay development for screening of enzyme activity; Analyze and Purification of a wide variety of native and recombinant proteins.
  • Documentation of experimental data, maintaining well-organized laboratory records, and presentation of findings at group or department meetings.
  • Transfer new technologies from research to development to high-volume manufacturing and equipment.
  • Calibrate and maintain process tools, instruments & systems, if necessary.
  • Process development and optimization using DOE methodology, statistical analysis, and process control.
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers in a cross-functional and multi-disciplinary working team.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related life science field; a Ph.D. degree is highly desirable.
  • Proven expertise in protein chemistry and analytical chemistry.
  • Proficient with chromatographic purification systems (e.g. AKTA) and affinity, ion-exchange, hydrophobic, and size-exclusion chromatography.
  • Experience with protein characterization techniques such as SDS-PAGE, Western blot, SEC-HPLC, spectroscopy, and enzyme kinetics.
  • Familiar with modern molecular biology technology.
  • Knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing methods and technologies is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Must be a strong team player, detail-oriented, and perform well under pressure.

  • Develop gene detection assays: nucleic acid, RT-qPCR, and Northern Blot.
  • Develop Western Blot, ELISA, protein, and antibody.
  • Documentation of experimental data, maintaining well-organized laboratory records, and presentation of findings at group or department meetings.
  • Calibrate and maintain process tools, instruments & systems, if necessary.
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers in a cross-functional working team.

Requirements:

  • 1 to 3 years of inside/outside sales experience with cold calling experience.
  • Native English speaker with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in biology, biochemistry or molecular biology is preferred.
  • Motivation for Sales; Excellent prospecting & closing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach to handling inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Proficiency in using customer support software, QuickBooks, and other relevant tools.
  • Empathy and patience when dealing with diverse customer personalities and situations.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of activity, manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively in a results-driven culture.
  • Provides timely responses to customer’s inquiries (product information, order status, quote, etc.), knows how to close sales opportunities timely, able to establish strong, lasting relationships with potential customers.
  • Have demonstrated sales aptitude, with relentlessly high standards (you are never satisfied with mediocrity)
  • Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, self-motivated, and accountable to deliver results.
