Malate dehydrogenase inhibitor

Functions

Inhibitor of malate dehydrogenase (MDH) (IC₅₀’s: MDH1 = 1.1 µM; MDH2 = 6.3 µM). It inhibits Hypoxia-Inducible Factor-1 (HIF-1) by a variety of reported mechanisms. LW6 displayed antitumor properties in hepatocellular and pancreatic cancer cell lines. It promoted rat locomotor function after spinal cord injury via reduction of neuroinflammation.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 20 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
