Description
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADP) and its reduced form, NADPH, are crucial coenzymes found in all living cells. NADP is an oxidized form, which can accept electrons. NADPH donates electrons and hydrogen to reactions which can be catalyzed by enzymes. They play a vital role in redox homeostasis and energy metabolism. If NADP/NADPH is not balanced, it leads to many diseases, such as Immune Deficiency, Neurodegenerative Diseases, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Cancer.
Tribio™ NADP/NADPH Quantification Colorimetric Assay is based on a dehydrogenase coupled reaction convert chromophore to a colored formazan, which can be measured at OD 460 nm. The generated signal is proportional to the content of NADPH. This assay specifically detects NADP and NADPH from samples, not detect NAD/NADH. The kit provides the easiest and most accurate approach to measure NADPH from a variety of samples.
