Description
InVivoMAb Anti-Mouse Cluster of Differentiation 152 (CD152) antibody specifically recognizes mouse Cytotoxic T-Lymphocyte Antigen 4 (CTLA-4), a 33-kDa inhibitory receptor belonging to the CD28 family that is expressed on activated T and B cells. CTLA-4 interacts with the B7 ligands CD80 and CD86 to transmit inhibitory signals that limit T-cell activation, support immune tolerance, and maintain immune homeostasis. The critical function of CTLA-4 is underscored by CTLA-4–deficient mice, which develop fatal lymphoproliferative disease. As a central immune checkpoint, CTLA-4 represents a major target in cancer immunotherapy. This antibody is widely used to block CTLA-4 signaling and has been demonstrated in multiple tumor models to effectively modulate T-cell responses, including the in vivo depletion of intratumoral regulatory T cells.
