Description
InVivoMAb Anti-Mouse Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide Receptor (GIPR) antibody is a monoclonal antibody against mouse GIPR designed for in vivo research applications. GIPR (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor) is an important metabolic receptor involved in nutrient sensing and the regulation of energy homeostasis. This antibody antagonizes GIPR signaling by binding to the receptor’s extracellular domain, partially blocking ligand–receptor interactions and stabilizing GIPR in an inhibitory conformational state, thereby effectively suppressing receptor activity. In diet-induced obese (DIO) mouse models, treatment with InVivoMAb Anti-Mouse GIPR attenuates body weight gain and improves multiple metabolic parameters, making it a valuable tool for in vivo studies of obesity, energy metabolism, and metabolic disease mechanisms.
