Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) serves as a natural carrier protein for fatty acids, trace minerals, and growth factors in cell culture systems. The low-endotoxin form of BSA is especially suited as a carrier for nutritional supplements in stringent serum-free or chemically defined cell and tissue cultures.
