Kv7 blocker

Functions

Increases acetylcholine release and improves performance in animal models of learning and memory via blockade of Kv7 (KCNQ) voltage-gated potassium channels. Linopirdine is a state-dependent blocker favoring activated single subunits of the channel. It has also been shown to act as an agonist of TRPV1.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (25 mg/ml) or in Water (25 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or water may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
