Serotonin receptor agonist

Functions

Full agonist at serotonin 5HT1B and 5HT1D receptors, IC50= 2 and 2.2 nM respectively and also at 5HT1A and 5HT1F receptors. One of the oldest agents for treatment of migraine. Also acts as a potent vasoconstrictor and alpha-adrenergic antagonist.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (25 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 2 months.
