Applications

Rab7 GTPase inhibitor

 

Functions

A specific competitive inhibitor of nucleotide binding to Rab7, an endosome-localized small GTPase. It interferes with the Rab7-RILP interaction, locking the GTPase in an inactive conformation. Impairs B cell class switching and plasma cell survival dampening, the pathogenic autoantibody response in lupus. Inhibits the Arf-like small GTPase Arl8b, blocking cellular egress of β-coronaviruses (SARS-CoV-2) which utilize a lysosomal exocytosis pathway.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (40 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 2 months.
