Description
Description: CD16 is a low-affinity receptor for the Fc portion of IgG antibodies, existing in two isoforms: CD16a (FcγRIIIa) and CD16b (FcγRIIIb). CD16a is a transmembrane protein expressed on natural killer (NK) cells, macrophages, and monocytes, while CD16b is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored protein found exclusively on neutrophils.
