Description
Description: CD19 is a 95 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. CD19 is expressed on B cells from the early pro-B cell stage through to mature B cells but is absent on terminally differentiated plasma cells. It is also expressed on follicular dendritic cells. CD19 is a valuable target in immunotherapies for B cell malignancies and autoimmune diseases.
