Description
Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS) solution as a multipurpose, anionic detergent can be used for protein solubilization, plasmid extraction from bacteria, and to reduce non-specific binding during nucleic acid hybridization on membranes. This solution is provided in a convenient ready-to-use format that overcomes the need to handle powdered SDS, which is a known irritant. At low temperatures the SDS solution may precipitate; warm at 37°C for complete dissolution.
Storage Conditions
Supplied as a 10% (w/v) solution, 500mL.
Store at room temperature.
