Applications

G9a histone methyl transferase inhibitor

Functions

Potent inhibitor of histone methyltransferases G9a / EHMT2 (IC₅₀ = 15 nM) and GLP / EHMT1 (IC₅₀ ~ 39 nM) but not SET7/9 and SET8. Has been employed, as part of a small molecule cocktail, to reprogram somatic cells to pluripotent stem cells.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (50 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
