CK2 inhibitor

Functions

A potent and orally bioavailable inhibitor of casein kinase 2 (K_i=0.38 nM) acting at the ATP-binding site. It has been in preclinical and clinical development for a variety of cancers. It inhibits CK2-mediated phosphorylation of the SALL2 tumor suppressor preventing its proteasomal degradation and induces cell death in a variety of tumor cell lines. It inhibits fibroblast-like synoviocytes reducing rheumatoid arthritis disease severity in rodent models and inhibits collagen degradation.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (30 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 1 month.
