NAMPT activator; Proneurogenic agent

 

Functions

A neuroprotective and proneurogenic agent acting via NAMPT stimulation. Displays neuroprotection and promotes endogenous reparative functions after traumatic brain injury (TBI). Furthermore it repairs the blood-brain barrier, arrests chronic neurodegeneration and restores cognition one year after TBI in a mouse model. P7C3-A20 exerts neuroprotective effects in a hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy model. Suppresses neuroinflammation and protects retinal ganglion cells from optic nerve crush in a rat model.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 40 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
