PI 3-Kinase inhibitor

Functions

Highly selective inhibitor of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (IC₅₀ = 0.31, 0.73, 1.06 and 6.60 µM for PI 3-Kβ, PI 3-Kα, PI 3-Kδ and PI 3-Kγ respectively). Inhibits autophagy in rat hepatocytes (IC₅₀ = 10 µM). An extremely useful tool for determining the role of PI 3-K in cellular signaling. Cell permeable.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 100 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20° for up to 4 months.
