Survivin inhibitor

 

Functions

Induces apoptosis in a variety of cell lines acting as an antagonist of Bcl-2 family proteins (IC50 < 1 μM), however additional targets may contribute to its cytotoxicity. It suppresses cancer invasion and migration by inhibiting TGFβ1-induced epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition. Potentiates the chemosensitivity of cancer cells to other agents. Down-regulates surviving, reversing docetaxel resistance in cancer cells.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 45 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 50 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 2 months.
