Applications

Topoisomerase I inhibitor

Functions

Hexacyclic, water soluble camptothecin analog exhibiting potent antitumor activity in vitro and in vivo. It is a potent topoisomerase I inhibitor displaying antiproliferative activity against 32 malignant cell lines and was shown to be 6 and 28 times more potent than SN-38 and topotecan respectively. It displays potent cytotoxic effects in various drug-resistant cells. Exatecan can be utilized as a cytotoxic payload in the development of novel antibody drug conjugates (ADCs).

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (5 mg/ml with warming), or in Water (5 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or water may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
