PP1 and PP2 inhibitor

Functions

A potent cell permeable inhibitor of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1) and 2A (PP2A), K_i=0.1 nM. Has no effect on acid or alkaline phosphatase at 1 μM.  A non-phorbol tumor promoter. Stimulates the phosphorylation of various cellular proteins such as vimentin and NFκB and also induces membrane translocation of protein kinase C.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO or ethanol, then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20°C for up to 2 months.
