Description
Description: Cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen-4 (CTLA-4), also known as CD152, is a regulatory molecule expressed on activated T cells and a subset of regulatory T cells (Tregs). CTLA-4 plays a crucial role in maintaining immune self-tolerance and homeostasis by down-regulating T-cell responses. It has been implicated in the immune dysregulation of several malignancies, including breast cancer, lung cancer, and melanoma, and is a target for cancer immunotherapy.
