Description
Description: PD-L1 is a 40 kDa type I transmembrane protein belonging to the B7 family of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed on various cell types, including T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes, natural killer (NK) cells, dendritic cells, and, upon stimulation with interferon-gamma (IFNγ), on monocytes, epithelial cells, and endothelial cells. It plays a crucial role in maintaining immune homeostasis and preventing autoimmunity.
