Description
Description: CD32 is a 40 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein within the immunoglobulin superfamily, expressed on various immune cells including monocytes/macrophages, granulocytes, platelets, and B cells. CD32 functions as a low-affinity receptor for the Fc region of IgG antibodies, facilitating processes such as phagocytosis, oxidative burst in granulocytes, platelet aggregation, and immunomodulation. Dysregulation of CD32 is implicated in various autoimmune diseases, highlighting its significance in both innate and adaptive immune responses.
