Functions

Orally bioavailable inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinases (IC₅₀’s: MMP-1 = 5 nM, MMP-2 = 6 nM, MMP-3 = 200 nM, MMP-7 = 20 nM, MMP-8 = 2 nM, MMP-9 = 3 nm, MMP-14 = 1.8 nM). It has been used to alter the extracellular matrix of the tumor microenvironment in various liposomal and nano-platforms along with other therapeutic agents.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to at least 25 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 2 months.
