Coelenteramine 400a (TBP0127)

Description

Coelenteramine 400a is a synthetic derivative of coelenterazine that functions as a substrate for Renilla luciferase (RLuc). Upon enzymatic oxidation by RLuc, it emits blue light with a peak wavelength of approximately 395 nm. In bioluminescence resonance energy transfer 2 (BRET²) applications, Coelenterazine 400a is commonly paired with class 1 and 3 GFP acceptors, such as GFP2 and GFP10, to study protein-protein interactions, including those involved in G protein-coupled receptor signaling.
