Functions

MCI-186 is an antioxidant free radical scavenger used as a neuroprotective agent following acute brain ischemia and subsequent cerebral infarction.  It also protects against MPTP-induced neurotoxicity in the Substantia Nigra.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 20 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20° for up to 3 months.
