PPARd agonist

 

Functions

Potent and selective PPARδ (NR1C2) agonist, EC50=1.2 nM and 1000-fold selective over other PPAR subtypes. Induces apolipoprotein A1-mediated cholesterol efflux in vitro.1 Improves hematopoietic stem cell maintenance. Prevents downregulation of AMPK caused by a high-fat diet in liver and increases fatty acid oxidation. Upregulates human Sirt1 via Sp1 activation. Along with exercise, GW-501516 synergistically increases running endurance.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 40 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 20 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
