Description
Ham’s Nutrient Mixture F-12 (Hams F-12 Medium) was originally designed to support the serum-free growth of Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells. F-12 medium has been used with serum supplementation for a variety of cell types including chondrocytes, rat prostate epithelial cells, lung cells, and mouse L-cells.
F-12 Medium features higher concentrations of some components, as compared to Ham’s F-10. This Hams F-12 Medium includes HEPES and sodium pyruvate for more effective buffering capacity and energy sources.
