Description
Eagle’s Minimum Essential Medium (EMEM), is modified from MEM to contain Earle’s Balanced Salt Solution, non-essential amino acids, L-glutamine, sodium pyruvate, sodium bicarbonate, and phenol red. This formulation supports cell culture, growth, and viability, providing a balanced environment for maintaining a variety of cell lines. The phenol red indicator allows for monitoring pH changes, ensuring optimal conditions for cell cultivation.
Application
Used in cell culture, particularly for adherent cells (single-layer cells).
