Multi-kinase inhibitor

Functions

Multi-targeted kinase inhibitor that inhibits selected receptor kinases and Src kinases. IC₅₀s = 2, 7, 2, 16, 13 VEGFR1, VEGFR2, FGFR1, FGFR2 PDGFRβ and 5, 0.5, 6, 0.1, 0.4, 1, 0.2 nM for Fgr, Fyn, Hck, Lck, Lyn, Src and Yes respectively. It suppresses choroidal neovascularization and retinal edema. Blocks angiogenesis caused by HSV infection in the mouse eye. A prodrug strategy has been employed for topically applied AMD treatment.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (20 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
