Functions

A potent, covalent inhibitor of the NLRP3 inflammasome with anti-inflammatory activity in various mouse models. Inhibits vascular inflammation in vivo. Inhibits aberrant AKT activation in human breast cancer cells with hyperactivated PI3K/AKT signaling. Inhibits migration, invasion and adhesion of melanoma cells. Induces apoptosis in osteosarcoma cells by multiple pathways.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 50 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 10 mg/ml with warming), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20° for up to 2 months.
