Bacterial DNA repair inhibitor
Functions
Potent inhibitor of the bacterial DNA double-strand break repair complex AddAB. It is capable of synergistic sensitization of methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) to ciprofloxacin (EC50 = 0.6nM). IMP-1700 is an important new tool for exploring new treatment options for drug resistant bacteria.
Application Procedures
First dissolved in DMSO (25 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20° for up to 1 month.
