Autophagy inhibitor

Functions

A lysosomotropic agent which inhibits autophagy and triggers apoptosis in a variety of cell types. Augments the anticancer activity of DNA-damaging chemotherapy. Antiinflammatory activity. Decreases cell surface expression of TNFα receptors in U937 cells. Has been used to treat alopecia successfully. Clinically useful antimalaria agent.  Cell permeable and active in vivo.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in Water (up to 40 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in water may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
