Applications

SREBP activation inhibitor

 

Functions

Blocks adipogenesis by inhibiting the activation of SREBP. Inhibits the ER-Golgi translocation of SREBPs via binding to their escort protein (SCAP). Prevents increases in body weight, blood glucose and hepatic fat accumulation in obese ob/ob mice. Inhibits high glucose-induced TGF-β in mesangial cells.  Cell permeable.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 25 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20° for up to 3 months.
