Applications

Autophagy inhibitor

Functions

Antimalarial drug. Inhibits autophagy in a variety of cell lines. Induces cell death in breast cancer cell lines and displays antitumor and antimetastatic activity in mouse models of breast cancer. Eliminates cancer stem cells via deregulation of Jak2 and DNMT1. Displays synergy when combined with the Raf inhibitor, vemurafenib, in brain tumor.  Cell permeable and active in vivo.

Application Procedures

Dissolved in water (25 mg/ml). Solutions in water may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
