Functions

Potent ATP-competitive pan-Akt inhibitor (IC₅₀s: Akt1 = 3 nM, Akt2 = 8 nM, Akt3 = 8 nM). It reduced tumor vascular density, decreased influx of myeloid cells, and reduced tumor regrowth in hepatocarcinoma models in conjunction with radiotherapy. Capivasertib significantly reduced cancer migration and invasion in a colorectal cancer model. It enhanced CAR-T cell activity in B cell lymphoma models. FDA approved for the treatment of HR+/HER2-negative breast cancer.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to at least 50 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
