Applications

PKR kinase inhibitor

 

Functions

Inhibits RNA-dependent protein kinase (PKR, IC50 = 210 nM). Inhibits ER stress-induced neuronal damage. Reduces brain PKR activation in vivo. Prevents apoptosis and IL-1β production in an acute excitotoxic and neuroinflammatory rat model. Prevents β-amyloid peptide-induced inflammation in primary murine mixed co-cultures. Cell permeable.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 15 mg/ml, with warming), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20° for up to 1 month.
