Functions

Potent and selective (IC₅₀s = 7.4 nM PI3Kα; 2.2 µM PI3Kß; 1.2 µM PI3KIδ; 50-fold selectivity against 442 tested kinases) PI3Kα inhibitor. Approved for use in the treatment of HR(+), HER2(-), PIK3CA-mutated breast cancer. Has been used in combination with various chemotherapeutics to treat ovarian, colorectal, kidney, bladder, and head and neck cancers.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 25 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
