Applications

DGAT2 inhibitor

Functions

Potent (IC₅₀ = 17.2 nM) and selective (against DGAT1 and MGATs 1-3) inhibitor of diacylglycerol transferase 2 (DGAT2). It reduced liver and plasma triglyceride levels in Sprague-Dawley rats feed a high fat high cholesterol diet by 49% and 70% respectively. Ervogastat displayed efficacy in combination with the ACC inhibitor clesacostat in resolving metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) with liver fibrosis.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to at least 25 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
