Description
Description: CD28 is a 44 kD type I glycoprotein that forms a disulfide-linked homodimer and belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is primarily found on most T lineage cells, certain NK cell subsets, and plasma cells. CD28 plays a key role as a co-stimulatory molecule, promoting T cell activation, stimulating IL-2 production, and enhancing cell survival.
