Description
5′-nucleotidase (CD73) which is encoded by NT5E gene, also known as 5NT (5′-nucleotidase). CD 73 was found on the surface of various cells, catalyzing the conversion of adenosine monophosphate (AMP) to adenosine. It is involved in many diseases’ progression through several physiological processes, immune homeostasis and inflammation responses as a novel immune checkpoint.
Tribioscience’s CD73 Activity Kit provides a simple, easy assay that relies on quantification of free phosphate with Malachite Green complex. In this assay, the action of CD73 on the substrate generates a free phosphate (Pi), which combines malachite green reagent A (MG-A) and B (MG-B) to form color complex shown in Fig. 1. The color intensity is quantified at 620 nm.
