Small molecule thrombopoietin agonist

 

Functions

A novel, orally active, small molecule human thrombopoietin receptor (TPO-R) agonist, EC50=0.27 μM. Maintains human hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells under inflammatory conditions. Promotes DNA repair in human hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells. Acts as a powerful chelator of cellular and extracellular iron(III). Stimulates hematopoietic stem cells via a TPO-R-independent mechanism involving iron chelation.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 55 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 14 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20° for up to 3 months.
