Remdesivir active metabolite

 

Functions

Developed as an antiviral, with activity against HCV, YFV, DENV-2, influenza A, parainfluenza 3, and SARS-CoV. Also shown to be effective for feline infectious peritonitis. Notably the COVID-19 drug Remdesivir is rapidly metabolized in human serum to GS-441524, which shows comparable efficacy against SARS-CoV-2 in vitro, may reach the lungs more effectively, and has a better toxicity profile.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (25 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 1 month.
