Functions

Antimitotic chemotherapeutic which inhibits via reversible high-affinity binding to microtubules.  Induces apoptosis in a variety of cancer cell lines however, tumor cells can quickly develop resistance to docetaxel via several mechanisms.  Can act in synergy with a variety of other anticancer agents including kinase inhibitors.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 25 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 25 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20° for up to 3 months.
