Functions
Ranolazine is an FDA-approved drug used for the treatment of chronic angina. It inhibits the late inward sodium current in heart muscle leading to decreased intracellular calcium levels. It blocks Nav 1.4, 1.5, 1.7 and 1.8 (IC50’s = 2.42, 6.22, 1.72(10.33), 21.53 µM respectively.
Application Procedures
First dissolved in DMSO (up to 25 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 20 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20°C for up to 1 month.
