DMEM glucose-free medium

DMEM (Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium) is a widely used basal medium for culturing many mammalian cells. It contains higher levels of amino acids and vitamins than the original Eagle’s Minimal Essential Medium, supporting the growth of both primary cells and established cell lines.

The glucose-free version is designed for experiments requiring controlled metabolic conditions. It includes L-glutamine, phenol red, sodium bicarbonate, and sodium pyruvate, allowing users to customize nutrient composition based on specific cell culture needs.

The medium is available in 500 mL or 1 L bottles and should be stored at 2–8°C in the dark. It has a pH of 7.4 ± 0.2, providing a stable environment for cell growth.
