DMEM/F12 no phenol red

DMEM/F-12 Medium (1x), no phenol red, is a 1:1 mixture of Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM) and Ham’s Nutrient Mixture F-12. It combines the high levels of amino acids, vitamins, and glucose found in DMEM with additional components from F-12, such as sodium pyruvate, glutamine, and glucose. This formulation is specifically modified without HEPES and phenol red.

This medium is widely used to support the growth of a variety of mammalian cells. It is suitable for culturing MDCK cells, glial cells, fibroblasts, human endothelial cells, and rat fibroblasts, making it a versatile choice for multiple cell culture applications.

DMEM/F-12 Medium (1x) is provided in 500 mL bottles and should be stored at 2–8°C in the dark until use. It maintains a pH range of 7.0 to 7.4 and is applicable for culturing additional cell types including chondrocytes, human epithelial cells, lung cells, and endothelial cells.
