Functions

Histone deacetylase inhibitor (IC50 = 400µM). Demonstrates neuroprotective, anticancer, and anti-inflammatory activity.  Inhibits Aβ production, reduced neuritic plaque formation, and improved memory deficits in Alzheimer’s mouse models.  Improves stem cell reprogramming efficiency and enables efficient induction of pluripotency without introduction of the oncogene c-Myc. Clinically useful anticonvulsant

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in Water (up to 50 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in distilled water may be stored under  at -20°C for up to 3 months.
