Prenylated amino acid

 

Functions

Stimulates multidrug resistance transporter ATPase activity (4-5 fold at 10-20 µM) and competes for drug binding. It modifies the carboxyl terminus of the Saccharomyces cerevisiae RAS2 protein.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 25 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 25 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
